I know its a longshot with GW2 coming out but I was talking to tom this evening and he is interested in getting back into CS properly. I wondering if anyone else would be up for it reviving the 5v5 team and playing semi-competitvely again?

Anyone is welcome btw, this isn't just open to the players of old.

I'm up for it if we can sort it out, im only really gonna be playing GW2 when I fancy it there isnt any pressure to play it when there isnt a subscription coming out.

Tom seemed really keen last night and he's fine aslong as he's interested. Counterstrike doesn't require the same commitment as an mmo anyway. Plus its counterstike! In any case we're talking like 2 practice nights a week or something and one night playing an official game. Can obviously be changed depending on time and other commitments.

I'll have a look and see what the deal is with leagues/ladders because Valve has royally screwed up the 5v5 matchmaking. Why oh why there is no team based ELO confuses me.......So much potential for a ladder system in the same ilk as LoL, DotA and Starcraft....yet they make it indvidual ELO and fuck up to the point where your team mates will end up on the opposing side.

Tom's commitment when we played css was pretty strong, I know he's been shit ever since but we shall see.

Played my first cs:go mix last night, dedicated server with the right addons and its no bother with the switching etc iain.

If I can get decent again I'll definitely be in, been a busy man lately and not done much gaming in general, but I reckon things will calm down within a month, would love to properly get back into CS and competitive gaming in general!

I would be happy playing, more as a stand in if someone else can't make it or so since I'm terribad?

Definately still want to do this. Once GW2 settles down and CSGO is fully playable we'll be all over that shit.
