why do you even expect this in blizzard games, they are pretty much all still using a bastardised version of the w3 engine =P

I know but it's nice to finally play the game properly at 100+ fps :D

Also I just finished my first basic overclocking phase: turning on the xmp profile for the ram and bumping the cpu to 4.5ghz.
21 idle temps (1 deg increase) - 52 max load (11 deg increase from stock)
Voltage is on 1.242max
I'm tempted to go further as I think the voltage is good enough but I guess I'll just play some games instead :P

I got the H110 and they're not too bad 240mm fans I think. They'd be quieter if I actually cleaned the case, covered in dust currently :p

I've had this list for a while, I was wondering if I should wait for Pascall and see if they were going to use HBM memory but apparently that wont be until next year. So I thought if i keep waiting I'll never get a new PC =D

I've bought everything off this list except the 2 extra fans, the SSD and the 2 HDD's, will get those next month when I have extra money. I will end up replacing all the fans in the case at some point to get it all matching and have push/pull on the water cooler also I might also have to pick up a new copy of windows as I cant remember if the one I have is OEM or not =(

Everything should be here in the next week or so hopefully, I originally bought this PC 7 years ago and fucked up and got a Micro-ATX board instead of a standard ATX board then ended up with a full size tower with a tiny board inside. I've been wanting to set up a NAS for all my anime and movies as I currently use PLEX so manage it all so I think I might get the Corsair Air 240 case and stick my current PC in that as it will fit in there without any problems and it would match my new case =D

Hopefully getting everything by Friday, 980ti wont turn up until Saturday though =(

Just realised that that I need to get Display Port cables as the 980ti only has 1 DVI port so had to quickly get 2 of those order =)

I have no idea when my actual motherboard is going to turn up, I got it on dabs.com but its still apparently "processing" since Friday same thing for the Processor and M.2 Drive i got from Ebuyer, they say they have accepted the order and payment but its still "processing" too but it also says I will get it on Friday so I have no idea when shit is going to turn up =(

Kind of wish i had paid the little bit extra and got the whole lot from Amazon as Ebuyer and dabs aren't letting on anything about it =(

If you game on a single monitor you can plug that in to your dvi and the other ones you can connect to the onboard gpu.
This is how I keep mine connected:
Main monitor - gaming - gsync 144hz and all that crap: display port on the 980ti
Secondary monitor - dvi onboard gpu
Tertiary monitor- vga onboard gpu
There was a bug on nvidia drivers (dunno if it's fixed or not) if you had multiple monitors and one of them you had set at 144hz and the others are at 60hz the gpu wouldn't downclock in desktop usage so you either had to set the high refreshrate monitor to a refreshrate multiple of 60 (120/60) or connect the other low hz monitors to the onboard gpu.

I think it was fixed, I've ordered some display port cables anyway so dont need to worry about it, just got the motherboard in today even though i got an email this morning saying it would be here on Friday =D

So just waiting on PSU, M.2, case, water cooler and graphics card that will come on friday \o/

I also like the fact that i just bought all this stuff and the new 10 core I7s have just been leaked, happens every damn time I get a new pc =P

You can always sell your i7 and buy the new one if it's that big of an upgrade.
I could care less, I got an i5 because I don't use HT. Most of current games only use 4 cores anyway...
If the extra cores will be an issue in the near future I'll just buy another cpu :P
