90% of people who shit on mac's haven't even used them, or those that have, haven't had any prolonged use with them to really make any sort of comment when they've been using windows for 99.9% of their life.
Goes without saying though, I'd be sitting with a Mac infront of me now if they didn't have some major drawbacks: Support for gaming is generally pretty bad and of course the biggest factor is price/performance, I can't justify paying £400 more for a Mac when I can buy a pimped out windows system for 10x less.
Still, Apple > Windows.
Ye a lot of hate towards Mac, but its sales are rising every year, can't evade it. Though mostly it's the younger community and gaming community that give it shit.
Right, many of my fellow students who badmouth Mac do it because "It can't play games", which is true. I know how you feel. But I separate the two. For a desktop, I would buy a Windows equipped PC, primarily because although I love Mac, not all programs work on it.
But as a laptop, I'll chose a Macbook. As I said, it's thin, I took it to school with me every day so that was convenient, great for editing like Photoshop and whatnot, and I simply love the OS: the interface is gorgeous as are all Apple products. I don't consider myself a PC gamer anymore, except when BF3 comes out. A laptop for me is something to carry, something to put on my lap, and I can't be bothered with the huge and heavy PC laptops just so I can play some games.
Though ofc there is the 13 inch, and the 17 inch most powerful one costs double than that, and as you said, you can buy the worlds most powerful computer for the cost of the 13 inch one.
And there is the no virus thing, and that you really can't break it within. No dll missing errors, nothing. A kid just messing deleting all won't even be able to screw it up.
A dude at school lost the charger... damn those things are expensive. I guess it's because of the magnet thingy but damn. But I do love that magnet charger.
