Yep, you guessed it, Pro evolution soccer has been announced for release in late Autumn (Typically early Julember).

If you were to ask a typical person how PES2008 ran, they'd give you a list of issues, bugs and downright silliness lodged in the game (Especially online). Not to mention the lack of graphics card support, the 8800GT is unsupported in the game (Unless you are smart enough to figure out that the funking memory clock speed was 'too fast' for the game).

Lets hope 2009 will have:

Better online support
A bit more variation with the fecking commentators
Fixed animations (Clipping, etc)
And a simpler menu interface (Like PES6)

If I end up buying 2009 and it's pish again I'll consider bombing Konami's HQ, because there are no other good PC football games out there... (And no, no, no, Fifa08 on the PC is a port of fucking road to the world cup 98').

Not at the moment, no. Just gonna have to wait and see what PES09 is like.

This is football 2004 is by far the best, I was hooked (I made my own team and started from the lowest division )

All the fifa series are exactly the same, only difference is the graphics gets a little bit better each year.

This is football on the ps2 was better than all fifa ever made on ps2.

i'm not sure we played 2003 or 2004 but as soon we were playing it, we just started laughing with the game :p

This is Football was awesome, first game with diving I believe? It was brilliant in the sense that watching men fall to the ground for no reason is brilliant.
