I know quite a few of you guys have wireless mice. Couple of questions:

Do you find they 'lag' at all?

How long do the batteries typically last?

Do rechargable batteries work in them (I know digicams bitch like a whore if you try to use rechargables in them)?

Any other thoughts/experiences?



Also rza, hows the new pc coming along?

A mate of mine got a Logitech G7 that ones pretty good.
Don't know why it's not in production anymore. =/
The Razer Mamba is probably one of the the best choices atm.
I've also heard that Microsoft's Explorer Mouse got some insane accuracy due to the blue tracking technology.
Pro tip: STAY AWAY FROM BLUETOOTH MICE!

I myself have had a couple of wireless mice, but I did actually buy a Logitech MX 518 last year. I do prefer cable still and will probably not get a wireless mouse (again) for a couple of years.

It's been years since i had a wired mouse, and i've always stuck with logitech. Never had any lag on any of them, with the exception of a bluetooth one, stay the fuck away from them =P

My previous mouse was a G7 they come with 2 battery packs, and i used the mouse pretty extensivley while at uni (5+ hours a day easily, probably closer to 14 most days =p). The battery packs lasted for about 4or5 days each at first, over the last 3 years that has shrunk to the point where i'm changing the battery pack every 2 hours, so i got a new mouse.

I got the MX Revolution atm and the battery (internal non-removable) lasts about a week between charges. I've had it come up saying critical battery just before a Raid in wow before, and gone on to complete the entire raid (3-4 hours) and then surfed the net a bit before i even noticed the mouse begin to die. It'll finish charging to full in just over an hour i think (i put it on charge before watching 2 episodes of 24 and it went from critical to full in that time).

However the mouse does cost like $80 so not a cheap one. I like it for all the extra buttons on it, handy for key binds in wow =P

My brothers PC recently killed its mouse so i got a G5 for it (wired version of G7) and i gotta say i can't tell any difference between the 2, the G5 comes with adjustable weights too, the mouse is stupidly light without them in =P

My 2 cents, sure there's lots of typos in that since im still ill, thats my excuse and im sticking to it.

all i have to say is that wireless stuff really suck.. used them before but got tired of changed batteries and so all the time so im sticking with the cable stuff..

Yeah I have a MX518 now but its started to die for some reason, jerks about all over the place.

Last time I bothered looking at wireless ones was litterally years ago but from the sounds of things theyve got better since then XD

My MX510 mouse is still working today and its my favourite mouse of all time. The G7 has battery issues and you cannout buy replacement batterys. My best advice is to get a wired mouse for hardcore gaming, but for the casual use of the computer wireless will be fine. I heard the MS Habu is quite good but I am sticking with logitech for now not had any major issues with them but have in the past when I first got my G7 but after about 2 months they brought out the new driver which fixed the lagging.

Wireless mouses are piss, they are usually weighty and bulky; so unless there is one specified to gaming, I'd advise you to look back to cabled mouses.
