I do agree sennheiser is the best, no doubt about it. They're known for their great quality stuff

only 1 problem ...

all their headphones between 30-90€ are "on ear" headphones. Seriously ... gaming headphones should always be "over ear"
funny enough their cheap 20-30€ models are all "over ear" and their most expensive ones are also "over ear"

not only because their more comfortable, but try to go to a lan or any noisy place with such an "on ear" headphone :/. You really got to much outside noise
Love is that which enables choice. Love is always stronger than fear. Always choose on the basis of love

I've used the £20-30 sennheisers and the sound quality is just as good as your average £50 headset like the Steelseries etc. The cheapo ones are pretty small right enough and don't do the best job at cancelling outside noise as Talho says.

Am using the Sennheiser HD595 atm with the siberia mic, and can't really fault them at all.

But really its my soundcard thats what makes it tick. Asus Xonar Essence STX, if you can fork out the cash its worth every penny, Hell its even got a headphone amp! (where the headset comes into play).

Saying that theirs prob are better cards out these days, but you'll struggle to find a bad review about it anywhere, If you love listening to music, movies and games on your pc it really is the business!

A life, Jimmy. You know what that is? It’s the shit that happens while you’re waiting for moments that never come.

Nah, for gaming that's top of the line actually. Haven't checked in a while tho.
May be better Xonar cards out now.

As for headsets, I just buy cheap ones now, mine always break after a few months. Switching between headset and speakers too often combined with rolling over the cable with my chair constantly. :<

Sennheiser PC150's here. Used many Sennheisers and for what it's worth, if I needed a new headset it would be a pair of Sennheisers of some sort. Audio quality is always great, the mic snapped off my headset but that was mainly my fault since I ran over it with my chair =P

Roccat Kave for me! there awsum.. even better then the Logitech G35
g35 is to heavy for gaming for long periods of time, to much noise canceling, almost scary quiet. + the kave has better sound and true 5,1 40mm drivers.

they cost a lot, 1000 in norway or 110 euros or 100 punds.
but id say around 80 euros. its just norway :P

Fao review :)
