Happy Birthday Randomtask

I got a question.

A school friend of mine has a laptop with 2 nvidia 8600GT video cards. And he says that because it's 2 of them, they have the same power as a NVIDIA GT230 or something. He can play all the newest games.

And at a store, I see a stationary computer with 2x NVIDIA GT230 1.5GB. Does 2 of those mean that it will be able to play the newest games for a very long time?

The GT 240 looks like a horrible card, I doubt SLi with two GT 230 cards will be useful in two years... Stationary computer = Desktop PC btw.
The 8600 could potentially be better then the 230. Since the 8800 GT is better then the GT 240... Only good thing about the GT 230 will be that it's low profile and has a low power consumption.

I'd not buy something worse then a 260 card right now. I'd Personally recommend the ATI 5770 if you just want something cheap with mediocre performance. One of those should be better then the two GT 230's.

P.S. Got my 30" monitors today and the words OMGWTFBBQHAXIMMENSE do not do them justice.

But note that two ATI Radeon HD 4890 in third place costs almost half of what two Nvidia Geforce GTX 285 costs. They don't have the HD 5870 or HD 5850 reviewed either. :<

My mate just got an ATI, hes sending it back because it doesn't work well with Win7.
