I have this feeling that this isn't just aimed for the CS veterans, rather to get new players and hopefully fetch a lot of console players but resulting in more kids playing (for the $$$)... But I could be wrong. I can remember when CSS was released, the regular cs player disliked CSS because it felt sluggish and lacking precision, soon changed though.
『new world』: well hes gone now..
Razerslash: thats because i kicked him
『new world』: you killed him
Razerslash: kicked
『new world』: banned?
Razerslash: kicked!

Yeah Valve has stated its not a "CS2" its effectively a stopgap to get some more money out casuals - Not in their words of course. But they are including a competitive mode so who know's.

CSS never hit off with the 1.6'ers because they changed it from the ground up (barring the actual format of counterstrike itself) making it effectively a "new game" as opposed to a direct port on better graphics that they wanted.

Movement, Recoil patterns amongst other factors are why CSS was never as successful as the current 1.6 pro scene - that crazily still exists to this day.

Meh want as_crazytank’s 1 2 and 3.

Wonder how well that "play with people your own skill" thing will work. Will there be like a number from 1-10 representing your the skill level in that server, in which case I'll take 10 because I want to kill the best - much better sense of accomplishment - if I even feel that.

Unbelievably pumped if this means a resurgance in the CS side of AE. I keep having competitive gaming withdrawal symptoms ;) And I miss playing with you guys and having a laugh on TS! Would love to get some of the old guys together for some games fo sho'.
