But yeah I think it did win something. I'm basically getting it because it does 65 mpg has cheap insurance and tax as well has having pretty much everything you could expect in a larger more luxurious car. Although I wish I had kept of a couple more months and ended up getting the blue motion engine version as that would mean no road tax for the car =(

65MPG is a dream for me sometimes. I do around 20-25MPG in the BMW on average and that's driving reasonable well =( tax is high but insurance is extremely cheap. I need a big car because otherwise I won't sit comfortably.

I do between 40 and 47 in my bmw (2.0 diesel in city driving). And I'm also all in for the big car. In the previous ones I wouldn't fit in properly (and the fact that I wanted a proper safe and reliable car).

mine claims 56,5 combined but does around 44 mpg in town. If i lived in britain i'd have no road tax for the first year and 30pounds for the following years .

the only saving grace I have getting a new car is that I wont have to get MOT or servicing for 3 years but by then I will have paid all the payments off. I then have a choice of trading it in for a VW, selling it at a value that will be agreed when I get it or paying £100 to keep the car for good. I'm probably going to do the trade in thing it just means I will have a nice new car every 3 years at a fraction of the asking price and as far as I'm aware VW usually keep their value better than most cars
