I wanted to train using light coloring - By that I mean that the edge of a shadow is not hard, but light - By that I mean more realistically although the result was not that.

This is a part of another one. Doing a "VS" thing, which will look like a Tekken, MK, SF loading screen. Just need to color another dude.

And I got 7 more drawings that I finished drawing and are waiting to be colored.

This things looks so much darker when I open it in JPEG, but here through photobucket, it's much lighter. It's not ment to be this light.

Thats looking pretty good, your shading has come along loads, that face is almost perfect, only problem i can see is that you have used too much dark shading above the characters left eye.

Also you really need to work on hands, i know from experience that they are a real pain in the arse, the only reason im saying is cause if you look at the hand with the sword, the thumb is above the sword handle making it look like the character is holding the sword mostly with his little finger.

other than that and proportions being out its looking good, good job

Thanks :D I'll fix the eye.

Ye I didn't noticed the weird hand until I was finished. Actually there was a lot of lineart stuff that I added while coloring. I actually found a hand example in different positions (...) which I am looking at time to time so I can remember. I am also looking at the Tekken 6 character screens so I can learn to draw the body better.

Though I am still bothered with the thought about if I should have colored him in a cartoony way, instead of the light that I did. I just want to practice the light coloring, but don't know if it suits him.

THE SAMURAI IS AWESOME!!!

Your best work so far. well maybe not but at least the shading is the best I've seen so far from you.

Thank you kind sir.

Finished what I wanted to do from the beginning. I think I've colored the other dude better, and although it may not be the best character selection screen, it's one I am proud to have made.

And I fixed the eye shadow on the samurai.

Named them after 2 friends. I know Jahanger is not chinese, and Martwa is not his actual name, it's just his name on Facebook at the moment, so just go with it.

Completed him from the side.

He looks a bit different because there is a 3 month gap between the completion of those drawings, so I decided to change a few face qualities. Especially the hair, which I tried to draw from the side to be correct as from the front, but it was too hard to draw for me.
Tried to apply the smaller eyes to the other one, but because his face is so big, and the distance between his mouth and chin is so big, he looked weird.

But this is my first attempt to draw from the side ever, so I am glad at what I accomplished.

Good, but IMO his mouth looks too big on the side view in comparison to the one from the front...
